Chef Raju Pradhan is a culinary artist whose journey is as rich and flavorful as the dishes he creates. Born in Nepal, his love for cooking sparked at an early age, and by 17, he stepped into the kitchen professionally as a helper in a local restaurant. With dedication and passion, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a chef by the age of 20, where he managed the entire restaurant, mastering the art of balancing flavors and leading a team.
Eager to expand his knowledge and experience, he embarked on an international journey in 2012, moving to Dubai to work in an Italian restaurant. Starting once again as a kitchen helper, he embraced the challenge, learning the intricacies of Italian cuisine. Within two years, his talent and perseverance earned him the position of chef. He continued to refine his skills there for five years, falling in love with the depth and authenticity of Italian flavors.
In 2017, Malta became his next destination, where he had the extraordinary opportunity to train under one of Italy’s top chefs. This experience deepened his understanding of traditional Italian cooking, from handmade pasta to the perfect risotto, enhancing both his skills and appreciation for the culture behind the cuisine. He worked there as a chef for six years, mastering the fine details that make Italian food an art.
In 2024, fate brought him to Portugal, where he reunited with a close friend in Lisbon. Inspired by their shared dream, they co-founded Lisbonita Restro and Bar, located at Rua da Penha de França 151, Lisbon. This restaurant is a true reflection of Chef Raju’s culinary journey—a blend of passion, experience, and the desire to bring people together through food.
